What is AHIKS ?
AHIKS is one of the oldest and longest running international postal wargaming societies in existence. Iis origins are associated with the rise in interest in playing the
adult board wargames first introduced in the sixties by The Avalon Hill Games Co. Because of the nature of the games the need to find suitable, mature and reliable opponents became a problem. A few early enthusiasts formed a group for playing by mail with the aim of promoting international involvement in playing historical simulation games: thus AHIKS came into being. Development into Regions followed and boundaries were drawn. The area allocated for what was to become the
European Region stretched from the west coast of Ireland to the east coast of Siberia, encompassing the whole of Europe and Scandanavia, Asia, India, the Middle
East and Africa.

The Society provides a service to members for both board gaming and computer gaming. Born circa 1966 and still going strong!

The full range of our services are:-
